This quiet spot, just off Route 165, is my little treasure. Every spring, snapping turtles (yes, real turtles!) come here to lay their eggs, a ritual that goes back thousands of years. It’s also a bird-lover’s paradise, with over 175 species to observe. A secret place to discover slowly, with eyes wide open.

Every time I pass through this charming village, I make a detour to this old presbytery with its old-world charm. Muriel welcomes us as if we were at home, and Philippe delights us with a cuisine that perfectly blends French and local flavors. Psitt… five pretty rooms are waiting to drop you off, without hurrying.

Even if you weren’t planning to, make the detour… This farm stand with its unique architecture is well worth the stop! I always find a little treat here: antibiotic-free pork, free-range eggs, organic maple syrup… not to mention their bouquets of flowers. A gourmet, authentic and inspiring place – just the way I like it.

The 3 Monts is my favorite spring playground. There’s always a magical moment: the soft green of the leaves, the morning mist, the cries of a blue jay. And that view at the top when the wind mingles with your victory… It reconnects me, every time.

If you’re an adrenaline junkie, I’ll take you on the trails of Mont Adstock. For me, it’s a way of anchoring myself in the moment: a good pedal stroke, the smell of conifers, the tight turns… And afterwards, the view from the summit as a reward. It’s sport, yes, but above all it’s pure pleasure.

For me, KB3 is where the heart of Thetford beats. It’s not just a museum, it’s a real immersion in our mining past. The machines, the stories, the atmosphere… everything transports me. And from June 14, the experience goes up a notch with “Des lumières sous terre”: a striking sensory show followed by a journey through the life of the miners .

When I really need to unwind, I treat myself to a relaxing bubble at Noah Spa. Between the indoor water course, the outdoor spas overlooking the lake and the relaxing treatments… everything is designed to leave you with your shoulders 10 cm lower. It’s my little luxury when I need to recharge my batteries between adventures.

Gourmet alert! Every time I go there, I spend 10 minutes reading the menu… because everything appeals to me: tartars, duck, seafood, simmered dishes – it’s refined, generous and full of local flavors. I have friends who make the Quebec City-Thetford round trip just to eat there… and with a 5/5 on Google, it’s easy to see why!

I’m telling you right now: even if you’re not a tank fan, you’re in for a real treat. On June 15, downtown Thetford is transformed into an open-air museum, with gleaming, purring cars, each telling the story of a different era. You’ll smell the oil, the passion… and the memories.
