List of itineraries
Fishing and relaxing at the rest area near the peat bogs.
Lets admire the wonderful bridge of the Sentier Le Portage.
Tease the fish in the ponds of the Pourvoirie Daaquam.
Charming cruise to discover the Noire Nord-Ouest River
Discover this beautiful meanders river in canoe-kayak.
The giant trampoline and the slide will delight children!
It is rather rare to be able to ride a bicycle in a peat bog, a mysterious and generally inaccessible natural environment. The Appalaches regional park has made this experience possible by developing a circuit of three easy-level trails with boardwalks that lead into the peat bogs. This route, totaling 12 km in softwood forest, allows you to interpret the fascinating ecosystem of the Saint-Just-de-Bretenières peat bogs. In addition, it is not uncommon to encounter moose there.
Open every day from June to September.
Already more than 20 years that I work with a passionate team to develope this great and magnificent territory dedicated to outdoor and insuring the welfare of visitors and their canine friends!
Trails accessible from 1st of June to 11th of October
Sector closed during hunting season.
Just because back to school is upon us (or has begun) doesn’t mean it’s the end of summer getaways!

Recently, we were in the Parc des Appalaches for a hiking-camping between Filles du Nord in the Lac Talon sector. We were lucky enough to bring together a small group of 8 hikers for this first independent group outing.

The experience of life in a refuge, many do it for a weekend, a few days, and we decided to live it for a season, that is this winter! During these few months, the refuge des Pins located in the Parc des Appalaches has become our home. A time to get rid of the superfluous, to get together and experience a life in the heart of nature.

This summer, my boyfriend and I bought our first house. An extra light three-seater tent! Enough to carry everywhere, on our back for example! We also bought a mattress, sleeping bag, cooking gear, and dehydrated food. One challenge now, get it all to fit in a backpack. One thing is for sure we are now ready for a long-distance hike!

When the first rays of sunlight peeked through my bedroom window that morning, I knew it was going to be a promising day.

When winter arrives in Quebec, there's nothing like a stay with your dog in a cottage to make the most of this magnificent season. It's time to relax around a roaring fire in warm, comforting accommodation that makes you want to live life slowly with a cup of hot chocolate. And if you're looking for an absolutely magical, unique and enchanting place to experience this type of stay in the wonderful Chaudière-Appalaches region, Esker Nature is the place to go.

While the city energizes us, nature stimulates our inspiration and allows us to recharge our batteries. This is why we often feel the need to land there and venture there. So we jumped at the chance to discover the Chaudière-Appalaches under its white coat, for a rejuvenating stay in the middle of the mountains. Here are some of our favorites for a winter getaway weekend in the Montmagny sector.

Every time I go to the Parc des Appalaches, I always come back relaxed and satisfied to have been able to practice my favorite winter sports in such a majestic environment. During my last visit as part of a collaboration with the web magazine Les voyageuses du Québec, I had so many good times in cross-country skiing and fatbike, that I almost forgot the -30 degrees I felt. . Almost !

Both of us really like skiing, well especially Gérard, it must be admitted, but we have never been very fans of alpine ski resorts… We prefer the freedom of off-piste mountain skiing, away from crowds. So, when we learned that the Grande Coulée sector in the Appalachian Park was dedicated to this activity, we immediately decided to go exploring.

We don't know you, but since childhood we have often dreamed of putting ourselves in the shoes of a musher ... And then three dogs including two huskies have entered our lives. We moved to Quebec. And this winter, we spend the white season in a cabin in the middle of the famous Parc des Appalaches. In short, all the conditions are present to practice snowscooting almost daily ... What a dream!

A hearty meal in a sugar shack, a great walk and a snowman at an altitude of 650 m; that's how it is fun at the Parc des Appalaches.

In the fall, during the season of colors, when you come hiking in the Parc des Appalaches, the show begins as soon as you drive. The roads are adorned with such warm colors that we are already in the mood even before starting our hike.

At least once in your lifetime, you have to get to the top of Mont Sugar Loaf to appreciate the panoramic view from up top. This fall, I had the chance to do it twice. At the start and towards the end of the season.
