Active Nature Women travelers from Quebec and the discovery of Chaudière-Appalaches with their dog

Active Nature A full season in a refuge at Parc des Appalaches!
The experience of life in a refuge, many do it for a weekend, a few days, and we decided to live it for a season, that is this winter! During these few months, the refuge des Pins located in the Parc des Appalaches has become our home. Active Nature - En vedette Les Voyageuses du Québec and the pleasures of winter in the Parc des Appalaches
Every time I go to the Parc des Appalaches, I always come back relaxed and satisfied to have been able to practice my favorite winter sports in such a majestic environment. During my last visit as part of a collaboration with the web magazine Les voyageuses du Québec, I had so many good times in cross-country skiing and fatbike, that I almost forgot the -30 degrees I felt. . Almost !

Active Nature - En vedette The Parc des Appalaches, from one mountain to another!

Active Nature - En vedette From Finland to the Parc des Appalaches, same scenery, same powder!
Both of us really like skiing, well especially Gérard, it must be admitted, but we have never been very fans of alpine ski resorts… We prefer the freedom of off-piste mountain skiing, away from crowds. So, when we learned that the Grande Coulée sector in the Appalachian Park was dedicated to this activity, we immediately decided to go exploring.

Active Nature Sugar Loaf Mountain or Talon Lake
In the fall, during the season of colors, when you come hiking in the Parc des Appalaches, the show begins as soon as you drive. The roads are adorned with such warm colors that we are already in the mood even before starting our hike.

Active Nature The superb viewpoint at the top of Mont Sugar Loaf at 2 different moments!
At least once in your lifetime, you have to get to the top of Mont Sugar Loaf to appreciate the panoramic view from up top. This fall, I had the chance to do it twice. At the start and towards the end of the season.
