Le Défricheur trail - 9km Les Sentiers de l'Inconnu - 18km
Kicksledding can be practiced either alone or with one or two dogs. No need for a Husky or a specially trained dog to practice this activity. Your dog can easily tow you and you'll have hours of fun in their company.
The Park has established a network of trails with shelters to take a break or have a picnic. Kicksled rentals are available with reservation.
From January to March
The Kicksledding is a perfect occasion to share a moment of complicity with our dog(s)! During our trips, Assak, Bella and me are one, as a real team!
Location everyday from January to Marck from 9am to 4pm.
In the fall, during the season of colors, when you come hiking in the Parc des Appalaches, the show begins as soon as you drive. The roads are adorned with such warm colors that we are already in the mood even before starting our hike.

Recently, we were in the Parc des Appalaches for a hiking-camping between Filles du Nord in the Lac Talon sector. We were lucky enough to bring together a small group of 8 hikers for this first independent group outing.

Quand on m’a suggéré de passer un week-end en amoureux pour découvrir la région de Chaudière-Appalaches et cela avec mon chien Benji, j’ai tout de suite dit un gros OUI ! Premièrement, parce que c’était mon premier week-end en amoureux depuis que nous avions agrandi la famille en accueillant notre petit garçon en juillet 2021, mais aussi parce qu’un peu de repos ne fait jamais de tort à de nouveaux parents. En plus, notre vrai premier fils, Benji, notre caniche royal débordant d’énergie, ne dit jamais non à un week-end plein air dans Chaudière-Appalaches.

Every time I go to the Parc des Appalaches, I always come back relaxed and satisfied to have been able to practice my favorite winter sports in such a majestic environment. During my last visit as part of a collaboration with the web magazine Les voyageuses du Québec, I had so many good times in cross-country skiing and fatbike, that I almost forgot the -30 degrees I felt. . Almost !

Adeptes de randonnée en toutes saisons, l’hiver on chausse nos raquettes pour profiter pleinement de la multitude de sentiers qu’offre le Parc des Appalaches. C’est en effet pour nous LA place de rêve pour pratiquer au milieu d'un espace naturel à l’état brut. C’est un parc naturel habité certes, mais chacun de ses secteurs sont de véritables espaces sauvages très diversifiés. Et en plus, ils sont tous ouverts aux pitous !

Both of us really like skiing, well especially Gérard, it must be admitted, but we have never been very fans of alpine ski resorts… We prefer the freedom of off-piste mountain skiing, away from crowds. So, when we learned that the Grande Coulée sector in the Appalachian Park was dedicated to this activity, we immediately decided to go exploring.

We don't know you, but since childhood we have often dreamed of putting ourselves in the shoes of a musher ... And then three dogs including two huskies have entered our lives. We moved to Quebec. And this winter, we spend the white season in a cabin in the middle of the famous Parc des Appalaches. In short, all the conditions are present to practice snowscooting almost daily ... What a dream!
