Description

In a few words

Come and truly experience life on a real farm, where the family and animals live in harmony. The goats grazing in the pasture produce high quality milk, which is processed into delicious cheeses every day by the cheesemaker. You will love tasting the different cheeses, all certified organic. These
include Chèvre Frais (plain and flavoured), Quark (spreadable cheese with various flavours), the “Galarneau,” our new, sweet and creamy, semifirm
cheese, and our new raw milk cheese called “Le Tirelune.” Also: Merguez sausages, quiches, goat-milk soaps and other local farm products. You can stay for the night and sleep at “L'Appentis de la fromagère,” a two-bedroom suite with living room, private bathroom and kitchen, which can
accommodate up to six people.

Foody Nature Cassy tells us about her family day in Buckland!

At the end of June, vacation time had already come for us. What we love to do my boyfriend and I when this time of year comes is to discover the tourist attractions that are within reach in Chaudière-Appalaches. So we went to Buckland early in the day to visit the Cassis and Melisse farm and then go for a snack at the Pub de la Contrée.

Foody Nature Tourist Wanted: The Foodie

You don’t become a gourmand by choice, it’s a gift that life offers you. My parents always did a lot of cooking at home and the smells, the sounds of meats being cooked as they crackle in the pan and the panoply of flavours have always been a part of my life. And so, it was no great surprise that I ended up becoming a chef, a gourmand and the perfect person to fit the profile of ‘’Foodie Wanted’’.
