Spending three days with your family in the magnificent Chaudière-Appalaches region is like experiencing a truly magical interlude. Between snowy landscapes as far as the eye can see and a variety of winter activities, our stay was marked by moments of happiness and discovery. What a strange winter we're having! Little snow and mild weather, but in the city it's more gray than white. So we were really looking forward to escaping to the countryside for a brief 24-hour getaway in the Beauce region, including a visit to the Aventuria base camp.

Tout le monde dans la famille aime patiner. Bien sûr, il y'a la patinoire de quartier, mais entre vous et moi, y'a rien comme patiner en forêt. À chaque année, on attend avec impatience l'ouverture des sentiers de patin de la Bleuetière Goulet. Des kilomètres de sentiers en pleine forêt, parfaits pour jouer à cache-cache ou à la poursuite. De quoi amener le patin à un niveau supérieur!

The adventure started right when we arrived at Parc du Massif du Sud: the PODs were not accessible by car in winter. With a sled, we made a little trail to our lodging with our luggages. We quickly felt nature calling: tall pines covered with snow, fresh air, silence.

Jean-Yves Goulet bought his parents' farm in Saint-Frédéric in 2002 and decided to give up his other job to devote himself entirely to the business and transform it. He thus put an end to hog production and added 15,000 blueberry plants to the 1,000 already present. Over the years, it has diversified by adding, for example, a kiosk on the farm and a processing section.
