Active Nature Lydiane around the world tells us about her family weekend at the Parc du Massif du Sud and Berthier-sur-Mer

This summer, we decided to explore the Chaudière-Appalaches region, just on the other side of the river, a few kilometers from Quebec. It was a real surprise to see the wealth of activities and landscapes that this region has to offer. To give you an overview of our family adventure, here is a summary of our two favorites: the Parc du Massif du Sud and Berthier-sur-Mer.

Active Nature Mountain biking ... in the mountains!

The Parc du Massif du Sud, located in the heart of the Appalachian mountains, added mountain biking to its already well-rounded range of activities in the last few years. On the menu: sometimes technical, sometimes straight ahead, but above all, accessible trails. A trip worth the detour!

Active Nature Nomade Magazine discovers Chaudière-Appalaches in 2 unusual getaways

This magnificent region along the south shore of the St. Lawrence River has everything to please its visitors. Whether for its gourmet addresses, its many outdoor activities and its unusual accommodation offer, everyone will leave with their heads full of indelible memories. Indeed, we had the pleasure of living two very distinct experiences during a 4-day stay that allowed us to appreciate Chaudière-Appalaches in a whole new way! We therefore invite you to continue reading to discover two unusual getaways that you will surely love.

Active Nature Father and son initiation to long-distance hiking: mission accomplished!

Parc de la Gaspésie, Sentier des caps, Traversée de Charlevoix: there is more than one option for long-distance hikes in the Belle Province! The only problem when you want to live this experience with your 12-year-old son without discouraging him is the accessible options. After a lot of research, we finally found the perfect hike for us: the Parcours des Contrées de l'Est, located in the Parc du Massif du Sud.

Sarah and Jonathan's Ski Hok fun experience

I've been talking to my boyfriend to try Ski Hok or ski-racquet for a while and we finally did it. I tell you about our experience on a beautiful Saturday in March at the Parc du Massif du Sud.

Active Nature - En vedette Backcountry adventure in Parc du Massif du Sud

Nestled in the heart of the enchanting landscapes of the Chaudière-Appalaches region, Parc du Massif du Sud is undoubtedly a jewel for backcountry skiing enthusiasts. With the vast quantities of snow for which the park is renowned, it's no surprise that it has become one of Quebec's must-see spots for this sport! In winter, the mythical park is transformed into a white paradise where immaculate trails and undergrowth provide thrills on every descent.

Active Nature - En vedette Cross-country skiing and well-being in the Massif du Sud Regional Park!

Active Nature - En vedette I'm in snowshoeing's heaven!

Indeed, because I am filled with happiness. During my last winter visit to the Parc du Massif du Sud, we did the classic climb to the top of Mont Chocolat. This time, we are going to explore another sector of this winter sports paradise, snowshoes at our feet!
