In a few words

The region's first underground mine, the King Mine Historic Center offers you a memorable experience in the heart of real restored mining buildings. The site offers an immersive tour using real mining equipment and highlights the hard work of generations of workers in the mining industry.

The circuit begins with the forge, continues in the winch building end finishes with the headframe building. At the top of the headframe, the observatory offers a 360-degree view of the city of Thetford Mines, at a height of 140 feet (42 meters).

Discover the new underground gallery offering an unforgettable immersive experience. Discover the fascinating world of underground workers. Going back in time from the 1980s to the 1910s, we invite you to discover the evolution of mining techniques, work equipment and safety standards.
