Snowmobile circuit the adventurer with friends
As snowmobile enthusiasts, we'd been wanting to do the Aventurier route in the Chaudière-Appalaches region with our friends for a long time. Had we known, we would have done it long before!
live the adventurer
It's adrenaline in the air ... and landscapes to dream about!
Take a look at our video release!
We all manage to put an X for the same date on our calendars for two consecutive days of pure fun, beautiful winter scenery and good times.
Our meeting point is at the Shell in Montmagny, right next to Trans-Québec #5, and we're off!
The great thing about having two days of snowmobiling ahead of you is that you can take the time to enjoy the scenery and all the attractions along the way. On Trans-Québec 35, the Monk section is a must on the way to the Massif du Sud sector!
Our first stop on Trail 547 is Mont du Midi! The observation tower at a height of 3,000 feet offers an impressive view of the Appalachians!
We retrace our steps a little and head for the observation tower via trail 549 at the summit of Mont Saint-Magloire. On a clear day, you can see Mount Katahdin from the tower, but not today. Even so, it's still really impressive.
We heat up the stove and have lunch (it's already 3pm!) in the little refuge at the base of the tower. We also take a stroll in the woods, to be impressed by the snow-covered trees!
Our reward for today wasn't planned, and it's on the way home. We return in the golden hour, with the full moon accompanying us to our final destination today, the Auberge des Glacis, for our supper and accommodation in this welcoming country setting.
Oh how we ate and slept! We were welcomed like snowmobile kings! The breakfast box filled with local products left in the room's fridge was also delicious, and perfect for saving a little time and getting ready for our second day on The Adventurer circuit.
We plan the day's itinerary and get our snowmobiles on the road.
At the Club Sportif Appalaches, an outdoor fire draws our attention. We stop for a moment to remind ourselves that we're doing the Adventurer's Life in Chaudière-Appalaches! For those who prefer the warmth of an indoor fireplace, that's possible too.
That's all well and good, but we're back to our favorite hobby...snowmobiling! In our planning this morning, we put on our agenda the Sainte-Louise observation point , where an exceptional view of the St. Lawrence River awaits us. A worthwhile detour from our usual route!
On the way back, we have some more fun in the valleys we crossed earlier.
Another not-to-be-missed stop on the way to Saint-Pamphile is the Centre Sportif Le Jasmin for a bite to eat!
In our original plan, we wanted to go to Saint-Adalbert to enjoy the maple grove area and the long straight stretches of the Trans-Quebec 55 between Saint-Pamphile and precisely Saint-Adalbert. But we realize we're running out of time, and prefer not to head back in the dark. Instead, we take trail 35, which takes us past Lac Therrien. Farther on, we split up, with one group ending the excursion at the Auberge des Glacis, while the other group returns to the starting point of the first day.
