Here, in this enchanting setting overlooking the fields, you can settle down on the sunny terrace or in the picnic area to discover some unique spirits, accompanied by delicatessen.

Enjoy the tasting session led by the owners of these artisanal drinks right in the shop. This gives me the chance to ask all my questions as a budding mixologist. I can’t help but leave with a bottle of Sweet Bunny (Spring Gin) flavoured with raspberry and edible glitter for a dazzling visual effect in my cocktails.

Last year I discovered this little gem, situated just off the Route des Navigateurs, and I’m already looking forward to going back! Sarah and Frédéric enthusiastically show us their winemaking process, their vineyards and their magnificent century-old building.

Here, the ‘from field to glass’ concept comes to life through a perfect eco-friendly cycle: the barley is grown right here in the fields, spring water is drawn directly from its natural source and filtered naturally through the mountain rock, and the grain residues from the brewing process (the spent grain) are used to feed their herd of Highland cows. It’s a natural and 100 per cent local cycle where the land nourishes the beer, and the beer nourishes the animals.

I’ll let you in on a secret: before I discovered this place, I’d never really paid much attention to camerise. Then, whilst out on a bike ride, this tree-lined avenue tempted me to take a detour. One sip later, I was won over!
