Justine Laroche

I’ve been living in Saint-Antoine-de-Tilly for some time now, and I can tell you that this village is full of passionate, proud and innovative people. Thanks to the Parcours épicuriens CELEB’, a brand new gourmet itinerary, I had the pleasure (or rather, the honor!) of rediscovering my village’s merchants and artisans. Here are the 7 places that captured my heart on a beautiful summer afternoon!

1 - Du côté de chez Swann

In the warm sunshine and gentle river breezes, we began our journey at Du côté de chez Swann creperie. Nothing like a good microbrewery beer and delectable Breton crêpes (wheat or buckwheat) to whet our appetites! Orchestrated by passionate owners, the crêperie has been an integral part of the village since 2003, with the aim of introducing us to the taste and art of real Breton crêpes. A successful meal!

 2- Ma Maison Rose

Then it’s off to Ma Maison Rose for a little shopping spree, strawberry-lemon lemonade and cupcakes in hand! What could be happier? Élizabeth opens the doors of her coquettish home to offer you an array of deco/lifestyle finds in a relaxed, enveloping atmosphere. As soon as I arrived in Saint-Antoine-de-Tilly, I fell in love with this charming little boutique, and you’ll quickly understand why!

3- Fleuraissance floral farm and À l'Orée du Bois, Cider and fruit farm

We cross the street slowly towards the former Manoir de Tilly, now home to Fleuraissance, a flower farm as colorful as its owner, Élie! As we stroll through the fields, we enjoy a glass of cider from À l’Orée du Bois – Cidrerie et Ferme Fruitière.

The beauty of the place, the originality of the concept, Élie’s passion for flowers: it’s all there to make your stay a pleasant one!

The self-service fridge means you can leave with a magnificent bouquet of flowers. I personally invite you to drop in at the end of August to take part in our U-pick flower show. It’s a unique and invigorating experience!

 4- La Cabane du Boucher

We continue our stroll through the village towards La Cabane du Boucher. Here we have the pleasure of sampling the various charcuteries offered by Alexandre, chef-owner-boucher-charcutier-bon-vivant! In addition to delicious charcuterie, this dynamic little business offers you the chance to enjoy one of the best “snack” menus on earth (I’m exaggerating). Try it, you’ll love it!

 5- La Fromagerie Bergeron

Come on! We cross Route 132 to get to Fromagerie Bergeron. We’re greeted by Raphaël Bergeron, the charming co-owner who represents the company’s 4th generation. He tells us about the history of this local family business, which stands out as the Canadian master of gouda cheese. And there’s nothing better than a tasting of fresh gouda grains to confirm it! Did you know? You can buy our products directly from the Boutique. There’s also a delicious dairy bar attached to the Boutique, to the delight of young and old alike!

 6- Close the morning dew

Then it’s on to the next shop. It only takes one visit to fall under the spell of Lucie and Denis, owners of Ferme La Rosée du Matin! In addition to pick-your-own berries and pumpkins, you can purchase fresh fruits and vegetables in season. You’ll also have the chance to discover their processed products, made with an eye to avoiding food waste: sorbets and gelato in a variety of flavors, pies, croustades, freshly squeezed juices and more! A gourmet stop not to be missed!

 Brad & Jack resto-pub

We end our epicurean journey in style at Brad & Jack resto-pub with a beer and tartar tasting. The charming owner, Mélissa, explains the story behind the creation of this charming pub, which offers a diversified menu, electrifying musical performances and a festive atmosphere. Whether on the terrace, at the bar or in the dining room, we promise you’ll have a great time!

This journey has made me realize just how much our village has to offer: delicious restaurants, creative and dedicated entrepreneurs, exceptional gourmet products! Thanks to their passion, these kind-hearted people allow us to (re)discover the epicurean delights of our region!

Embark on the Parcours épicuriens CELEB’ adventure and come visit us; you’ll be charmed!
