Welcome to the Beauce, a region brimming with hidden treasures, a harmonious symphony of flavors, hospitality and unforgettable adventures.

 Beauce from a new angle...

The Beauce region is already well known for its delicious maple syrup and its strong entrepreneurial heritage – just think of well-known Beauce companies like Vachon Bakery, for example. But do you know about the region’s resolutely gastronomic side, its fun and varied activities, and its top-quality accommodations, which have nothing to envy those found in the big cities?

Stop 1: Visit the Parc du Détroit de la Chaudière to admire the mesmerizing current and the thundering sound of the water.

Stop 2. Cool off at the Cache à Maxime pool and beach with a beer from a local microbrewery.

Stop 3. Discover one or more of the 12 Miracles beaucerons on the Route de la Beauce, a fun and playful experience for the whole family.

Stops 4 to 8: Around Sainte-Marie... it's impossible to get bored!

Stop 4. Go birdwatching at Domaine Taschereau, a natural site in the heart of Sainte-Marie, home to over a hundred species of birds. Situated in a floodplain, this site reveals its unique wetland ecosystems.

Stop 5. Relax in the indoor pools of Scott’s Noah Spa.

Stop 6. Take a guided tour of the Maison J.-A. Vachon and enjoy a Vachon cupcake at the end.

Stop 7. Visit the alpacas at Verger à Ti-Paul for a delicious mocktail made with their own fruit.

Stop 8. Visit the current and permanent exhibits at the Marius B. Museum in Saint-Joseph-de-Beauce.

I invite you to follow the voice of narrator Fabien Cloutier in the new permanent exhibition Marius Barbeau, pour l’amour du monde!

Stops 9 to 12: La Beauce in gourmet mode!

Stop 9.For lunch, go to Resto d’La Cache in Scott. Here you’ll find classic breakfasts with a touch of raffinement and excellent filter coffee. For late risers, salmon gravlax and shrimp tempura are two must-try dishes on the lunch menu.

Stop 10. At Bleuetière Marland, it’s time to pick your favorite fruits. It’s also the perfect place to discover their Neapolitan pizza counter, perfectly cooked over a wood fire. As a bonus, you can leave with one of their excellent sorbets, made from their own berries.

Stop 11.For dinner, I highly recommend a reservation at Restaurant 1668 in Saint-Georges. Chef Ariël and his team will take you on a culinary adventure, where all you have to do is let yourself be lulled to the rhythm of the local produce skilfully prepared in the kitchen.

The hushed ambience of Restaurant 1668 is truly relaxing, allowing you to escape for the duration of a meal.

Stop 12.Espresso coffee at VG Café in Saint-Georges. The charm of a small café just the way you like it. Psitt… it offers a unique vegetarian and vegan menu.

 Another accommodation worth a detour!

La Cache à Maxime in Scott

I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve stayed at La Cache à Maxime. It’s a place I really appreciate for the grandeur and modernity of its rooms and all the facilities on site, such as the restaurants, pools and Noah Spa.
My advice: always ask for a room with a vineyard view, so you can enjoy a splendid view of the sunrise.

I hope I’ve inspired you to visit these hidden Beauce treasures!
