I discovered Adstock Spa Nature

Some colleagues and I recently met up at Adstock Spa Nature for a photo shoot to support the cause. I can’t tell you how pleased I was to be part of the team of extras and to discover this peaceful place.

 A wonderful discovery

I have very little experience when it comes to visiting, or even finding my way around a spa. It’s just not my thing.

How can I put this? Until… now!

So, take my opinion with a pinch of salt if we’re going to play the comparison game, but I’ll tell you about my afternoon there and my first impressions of the place.

A warm welcome and exploring the area

Just from the car park, the sight of the wooden building and the cleanliness of the premises, you already know you’re in for a lovely experience. The interior is also wooden, and we’re warmly welcomed by the owner, Louis, who explains how the activity will unfold. We’re handed towels and bathrobes (available to hire) and head to the well-equipped changing rooms.

Well, that’s just like me, I skimmed through the team’s instructions before setting off. I bought a pair of sandals there and then so I could join the group and follow the venue’s dress code.

We get changed and it’s time to head out to the outdoor area in the back garden.

 Long live private sections!

We take a quick look around the place, but head straight for our private spot: the Toundra!

The space for eight people, features a hot tub, a sauna, a cold plunge pool and an outdoor fire pit – all of which immerse us in the heart of nature, surrounded by trees. We immediately feel like we’re in relaxation mode!

It’s not that I’m asocial, but being here just with my colleagues, in a private space all to ourselves, is wonderful!

We’re all chilling out together round the fire. Some head for the hot tub whilst others go into the sauna before joining us in the hot tub. Right, who’s going into the cold plunge pool? I volunteer. But when the time comes to go in, I’m not so keen after all. Amélie goes in and that really gets me going. I’ve got to beat her to it.

One second, two, three… it doesn’t seem to be going by very quickly, I think… 27, 28, 29, and finally 30! I beat her by a second. But she’ll get her own back later, we know that! Amé and I sometimes have little friendly competitions like this!

Back in the spa, the sensation, it tingles a bit and feels absolutely brilliant. They recommend staying in the cold bath for between 30 seconds and 2 minutes for maximum benefit. I’ll definitely have to come back, and I’ll be delighted to introduce my friends and family to this place.

Hiring a private area also gives you access to the relaxation yurt.

 Total relaxation for everyone

After that, we set off to explore all the other facilities in the area.

The public areas include two spas, two saunas, a cold plunge pool and relaxation areas, including a heated yurt for packages that include a massage.

Before leaving, we explore one of the public spas, which is even bigger and just as close to nature. We’re really taking it easy. It’s already over, and we all find ourselves on the covered terrace, which is cosy and just as relaxing.

It’s unanimous! We’ve all enjoyed our afternoon here!

As for me, I’ll definitely be coming back with family or friends!
