I’m lucky enough to live just off Chemin Vire-Crêpes in Saint-Nicolas, in the western part of Lévis. This road is home to a number of agricultural producers known as Chemin de la Fraîcheur. One business the whole family is particularly fond of is Les Bleuets du Vire-Crêpes. We can go there to eat delicious breakfasts in their café, to buy all sorts of beautiful blueberry products in their boutique, but we most often end the day with a good ice cream.
Ice cream on a summer's evening... and you feel like you're on vacation!
I’ll always remember our first end-of-day ice cream at this place. Often, on beautiful summer evenings, my parents would call and ask if we wanted to go somewhere for ice cream for dessert. One evening a few years ago (it was 2015 I remember, Flavie wasn’t even a year old), they suggested we try the new Bleuets cremerie at Vire-Crêpes. Go, let’s go! Once there, I immediately felt like I was on vacation, even though it was the middle of the week. I felt like I was completely away from home, as if I were finishing my day in peace, away from the daily grind.
