Farniente mode activated at La cache à Maxime

Summer, the sun is beating down, the pool is beckoning and friends are looking for refreshment. All the ingredients for the perfect end of the day with your girlfriends!

Friday, 3.10pm

The summer sun has been beating down on the ground and warming up the patio at home since its masterful rise that morning. Although I’m an avid sunbather at home, on this Friday in August, I’m overwhelmed by the need to socialize and meet up with my friends for a dip in the turquoise water. The spirit of the weekend beckons, and I intend to answer it!

No sooner said than done, we meet at La Cache à Maxime, in Scott, to take advantage of the new summer facilities. We’ve heard so much about them! Now it’s our turn to try them out.

Thirty minutes later...

It’s like being in the South! The Latin-sounding music, the turquoise water… everything I was looking for is here. It’s really changed since I was last here! Dozens of deckchairs surround the beach-like pool, and we quickly take our places.

On the agenda: a sunbathing session, while my friends’ children splash around just a few steps away. We dip our toes… The water temperature is just perfect. Sunglasses and beach hat, that’s it! Farniente mode activated. Time flies…

A short 5 to late?

It’s Friday and time for happy hour! Luckily, La Cache à Maxime has thought of everything! Just a stone’s throw from the pool-beach, their biergarten is THE place to quench our thirst. We each choose our own beer from the selection offered by Contrebande Microbrasserie.

There’s a beer for everyone.

For me, it’s the Pale Ale with lime, and for my friends, a sublime tropical Session with raspberry aromas, as well as a rousse with caramel and nutty notes.

Feet in the water

Our tastes are varied, but we agree on one thing: let’s enjoy our refreshments on the terrace with our feet in the water. Another superb new addition to the summer facilities! What’s more, it’s just a stone’s throw from the pool, where the kids are still having fun. It’s easy to keep an eye on them while catching up on the latest gossip over a refreshing drink. Really well thought-out!

And who knows? If the evening drags on and hunger finally catches up, the Resto d’la Cache, the perfect place to enjoy grilled meats and seafood on the terrace, will welcome us and our hungry little monsters.
