On a beautiful Sunday, we had the chance to travel around the world for a moment aboard a 737 landing in Scott, Beauce. We let ourselves float away in the kitschy Hawaiian atmosphere of Airwoodooli and its virtual reality experience Jusqu’aux frontières de l’imaginaire. A first for us!

Flying from the Eiffel Tower to the Great Wall of China

On arrival, we collected our boarding passes and confirmed that we had nothing to declare, so that we could board the plane. An entertaining pilot and a festive flight attendant greeted us and ushered us into the aircraft. With our VR helmets on, we took off and soared through the clouds, flying over the Eiffel Tower, Big Ben, the Golden Gate, the Statue of Liberty, the Sydney Opera House, the Great Wall of China, Mount Everest, the Sphinx and the Pyramids, as well as many classic sights on every continent. We were blown away by the 360-degree visuals and the synchronized seat movements that accentuated the feeling of being in the air. The kids especially loved it!

Cocktails and tacos with your feet in the sand

After landing, to the sound of Hawaiian music, we found ourselves with our feet in the sand, a necklace of flowers around our necks, the smell of the grill wafting through the air, still warm from early autumn. We played along and indulged in colorful, beautifully decorated signature tiki cocktails, then shared some downright tasty tacos! Our taste buds were reminded of Mexican memories.

Art at the heart of the process

The sandy site on the edge of the forest invites you to relax. It’s free to use if you like. On site, in addition to the virtual experience in the plane (booking required), there is a bar service and a small taqueria in a foodtruck version. Large-format games, tables and relaxation areas are also available. We played a traditional game of pockets, Finnish skittles, a game of skill with little pucks to hang on, and lounged for a while in the drifting boats here and there filled with poufs and cushions.

We laughed, we had fun, we enjoyed ourselves, we were entertained!

A light-hearted Sunday in a slightly offbeat reality – we love it!
