With its extensive programming and accessible facilities, the Musée maritime du Québec is more than ever a must-see attraction in the Chaudière-Appalaches region, and in Quebec as a whole, as a contemporary museum institution.

Imposing, sturdy and noble, the icebreaker Ernest Lapointe tamed the icy waters of the St. Lawrence and made history in the process. During her 37 years of service, this official vessel of the Canadian government lived through many noteworthy adventures.

    On the first Sunday of the month, the museum’s indoor exhibition halls, as well as tours of the museum boats and model storage area, are free of charge for young people aged 19 and under.
