In a few words

Located in an urban area, this 200-acre tourist and recreational site includes three ecological parks, namely Parc de l'Île, Parc intergénérationnel Veilleux and Parc des Sept-Chutes, which are interconnected by hiking trails and bicycle paths. These are accessible by the Sentier des Jarrets Noirs, a 20-km section of the “Route Verte” (cycling route). Parc de l'Île runs along the lake created by the inflatable dam built by the “Rendez-vous à la Rivière” corporation. Two footbridges provide access to this park. Parc Veilleux is a leisure park featuring an inline skating path, a children's playground known as Richelieu Space and a fitness trail for seniors. The park also has gorgeous beds of peonies, lilacs and other perennial flowers. The Parc des Sept-Chutes has picnic tables, swimming area and 8 km of hiking trails, in addition to an exceptional 150-acre urban forest. Boat rentals and a launching ramp are also available on-site during the summer.
