Did you say ‘’squeak-squeak’’?

Do you know about Bergeron cheese? What if I ask if you know the cheese that goes ‘’squeak-squeak’’ - now do you know what I’m talking about? Yes, I’m talking about that little Quebec wonder that we call cheese curds. The Bergerons are expert cheesemakers, making fresh gouda daily that can be found throughout the province.

Make a stop at Fromagerie Bergeron in Lotbinière , directly along Highway 132, in the beautiful little village of St-Antoine-de-Tilly .

One thing that I liked the most was the facilities. The smell make my taste buds vibrate as soon as I stepped into the boutique. I couldn’t leave empty-handed and was taken in by temptation. Even though I’m not a big cheese lover, to my surprise, I really enjoyed my visit to Fromagerie Bergeron. Whether you’re stopping by the interesting interpretive centre or to simply buying some of the Bergeron products, it’s worth a stop at the cheese factory.

You can buy their freshly-made gouda curds as well as a variety of other delicious cheeses fabricated on-site, as well as discover the universe and the history of Bergeron cheeses in the cheese factory’s interpretive centre. You’ll also find on-site, at the cheese factory’s boutique, various regional products so you can build your own picnic basket. A dairy bar is also available during the summer to offer you some mouth-watering refreshments.

Come make a little ‘’squeak-squeak’’ stop next time you’re passing through Lotbinière!
