Top ideas 4 perfect combos for a night out for two: epicurean dining + a lovely night in... and more!

Here are four outings we recommend with our eyes shut. The same ones we suggest to our friends when they ask us: “Where are we going for a really nice evening out? “We’ve tried them out for real: great restaurants, enchanting sleeping arrangements… and a little bonus to complete the outing in style.

Lévis Le Théophile + Plumard Couette and Café

Le Théophile is one of the finest restaurants in Lévis, where you always come back with the same smile. Here, you choose small plates full of character to share, so you can sample as many creations as possible. It’s a place where old-fashioned hospitality reigns supreme. And to round off the evening, Le Plumard is a real cocoon: a warm welcome, cosy rooms and… a breakfast that, quite frankly, is one of the best we’ve tasted.

A LITTLE BONUS

A walk (or skate) on Quai Paquet at sunset: simple and always magical.

Saint-Georges Restaurant 1668 + Le Georgesville

We love 1668 for its unique culinary experience. Each dish showcases Quebec produce with boldness and precision, and we return each season for their discovery menu (4 or 7 courses) and the wine and food pairings that always manage to surprise us.

To finish on a high note, Le Georgesville is perfect: beautiful views over Saint-Georges, very comfortable rooms and a Point Virgule breakfast that we enjoy every time.

A LITTLE BONUS

Discover the Beauce-Art trail and its nearly 100 outdoor sculptures: a simple and always impressive stroll.

Islet Café La Coureuse des Grèves + B&B Le Canadien

Café La Coureuse des Grèves is our must-stop in Saint-Jean-Port-Joli. Chef Patrick Gonfond has been there for over 30 years, and it shows: the fish soup is delectable, the bison burgers are a hit… and with a glass of local wine, Le Faubourg, you’re in for a treat. Located in the neighbouring village, B&B Le Canadien is a real gem: ultra-comfortable rooms, incredible breakfast and a large fireplace where you can relax. And best of all, Yves and Sylvie are so friendly, you just want to come back.

A LITTLE BONUS

A stop at Le Vivoir, that vibrant place where artisans create in front of you, and a little walk in the village… always a winner.

Beauce Saindoux Restaurant BBQ + La cache à Maxime

At Saindoux BBQ, you’re in for a real barbecue vibe. Pork takes pride of place in this former presbytery with its unique cachet: ribs smoked to perfection, thoughtful side dishes (not just to fill up the plate) and passionate owners. Well worth the diversions!

If you’d like to continue on a relaxing note, La cache à Maxime is perfect: spacious suites, a relaxed atmosphere and the Noah Spa right next door to unwind.

A LITTLE BONUS

A walk around Domaine Taschereau, a real nature bath in the heart of Sainte-Marie, with birds galore.
