Alysson Gallant

Stéphane’s choice Glaces et Délices Saint-Michel-de-Bellechasse

Right in the heart of the village, this dairy shop is a must-visit when you’re passing through on your road trip along the Route des Navigateurs.

I GO THERE FOR

Their delicious soft-serve ice cream! My girlfriend, on the other hand, goes for one of their delicious homemade gelatos. The service, the lovely summer atmosphere on the terrace, and who knows – you might even bump into an actor from the summer comedy at the theater of the village … well, and its proximity to the local marina for a magnificent sunset with an ice-cold treat.

Ophélie’s Choice Bar laitier Chouinard Saint-Jean-Port-Joli

The treats at this exceptional ice-cream shop always tempt me to stop off for a real treat on a road trip. Here, it’s the filling that makes all the difference. Find your favorite!

I GO THERE FOR

The strawberry ice cream sundae! My all-time favorite treat, yes, yes! For me, it’s all about the art of the classic soft-serve vanilla, but with a touch of freshness from the topping of fresh, local strawberries. All topped off with a jam-style coulis. I take my frozen treat to Parc des Trois-Bérets by the river. That’s when summer really kicks in!

Sarah’s Choice Ferme à Ciel Ouvert Saint-Vallier

This farm is more than just a favorite. The owners are friendly, the place is charming and all the products are delicious. Why not treat yourself to a sorbet? A slush? An ice-cream sundae or some of the homemade nectars? It’s always a tough choice!

I GO THERE FOR

As someone who’s lactose intolerant, I’m so happy to have found a strawberry & oats flavour that’s this good. What’s more, the whole family loves it. This summer, I’m also really looking forward to trying the new product: chocolate dips made from oat milk.

Stéphanie’s choice Ferme Phylum Lévis

Straight from the farm to your ice-cream cone, you can really savour the exceptional creaminess of artisan ice cream made from the rich, 100% natural A2 milk from their Jersey cows. With no artificial flavors, it doesn’t get any more authentic, fresh or local than this!

I GO THERE FOR

The maple and vanilla marbled ice cream, made with real syrup and real vanilla pods! From lunch to dessert, we also love popping in for a tasty poutine or a pizza (always topped with their own cheeses) at their snack bar, and leaving with some of their delicious products from the shop. You simply must try the pepper and lemon cheese curds – they’re a real treat!

Amélie’s Choice Fruitière Laliberté Saint-Lambert-de-Lauzon

Between outdoor adventures, there’s nothing better than a tasty detour! Creamy soft-serve ice creams, coulis bursting with berries, and mind-blowing sundaes like the apple crumble or the special brownie sundae. Even after fruit-picking and tractor rides, there’s always room for a dessert… or two!

I GO THERE FOR

The creation of the moment – a special ice cream that changes every week, always generously topped. As for me, my favourite creation of the week is the ‘three-fruit’: vanilla soft-serve with fruit coulis, coated in milk chocolate and, of course, packed with real chunks of fresh fruit: strawberries, raspberries and blueberries. As someone who isn’t usually keen on overly sweet desserts, this is a perfect, well-balanced blend of sweetness and freshness.

Louis’s choice Les Bleuets du Vire-Crêpes Lévis

Who hasn’t heard of Les Bleuets du Vire-Crêpes and its fabulous lunches… to be enjoyed on the terrace in summer. But there’s also the food truck from 4 pm, Thursday to Sunday, and, best of all, the ice-cream parlour, open every day from 11 am to 9 pm.

I GO THERE FOR

Although there are plenty of options on offer, such as sorbets, sundaes and ice cream shakes, my boys and I often go for the blueberry soft-serve ice cream, the place’s speciality.

Odile’s Choice Bleuetière Marland Sainte-Marie

Few people will be surprised by my choice! We look forward to it opening every year with ‘great’ anticipation. Between the rustic terrace, the decadent pizzas and their ice-cream creations, it’s impossible to get through the summer without popping in a few times.

I GO THERE FOR

To achieve the perfect family consensus. Rebecca swears by their strawberry milkshake, Livia by the raspberry sorbet with fleur de sel chocolate dip, and my boyfriend by the vanilla ice cream cone with maple butter (which almost beats the one at La Maison de l’Érable :). As for me, I simply can’t choose: it would be like asking a mother which of her children is her favorite!

Sara’s Choice Les Pères Nature Saint-Georges

If I had to eat just one soft-serve ice cream for the rest of my life, it would be this one. The classic vanilla and chocolate flavors are on the menu, but what really stands out are their raspberry and mango soft-serve ice creams. Made with real fruit, it’s hard to choose anything else! A fan of gelato? They do that too! There are always plenty of new additions on the menu, such as their Biscoff, matcha or praline hazelnut dips!

I GO THERE FOR

My favorite order: half a raspberry soft-serve, half a mango soft-serve in a bowl, with a little dark chocolate drizzle on top!
