Since the summer of 2022, Miller Zoo has been offering not only animals, but also a life-size game of seek-and-find in the image of our beautiful tourist region, Chaudière-Appalaches.

 Life-size search-and-find game

The Miller Zoo is the #1 tourist attraction in the Chaudière-Appalaches region, which is why it was the ideal place to create a fun-filled space to showcase all our beautiful attractions in the region’s colors. With the help of a life-size search-and-find game, discover the diversity of activities our region has in store for you.

It was on a beautiful summer’s day that I had the immense pleasure of discovering our fabulous game, accompanied by my colleagues’ children. The principle is simple: scan the QR code highlighted on the panels at the entrance to the play terrace. Note that Miller Zoo offers free Wi-Fi access on site. Once you’ve logged on to the online gaming platform, choose a team name and enter the correct number of participating players, and off you go!

You’ll see 16 drawing dots appear on your phone. Find these 16 dots hidden around the game deck. Once you’ve found the first tablet, write down the number underneath the tablet you’ve found and enter it on your phone underneath the image of the associated tablet. A fascinating fact about the area will then be revealed.

Now, only 15 lozenges left to find. Let’s get on with it!

 Adults have fun too!

Having tested it, I can assure you that this seek-and-find game isn’t as easy as it looks! You really have to look everywhere: around the terrace, inside the play terrace, in the air, on the ground, behind the structures, etc. It’s a real challenge for the whole family. It’s a real challenge for the whole family. Once you’ve completed the game, you’ll be able to see your time as well as your average compared with the other teams. For our part, we were a team of 4, and everyone pitched in to find the wonderful treasure. In fact, at the end, enter your postal details to receive a wonderful surprise straight to your home. Don’t worry, there’s something for everyone, which is why it’s important to indicate the right number of players at the start of the game.

 Play area

I can’t talk about the seek-and-find game without mentioning the magnificent world that surrounds it. The game of seek and find is easy to spot thanks to the magnificent play terrace designed by the architects at Atelier Mock-Up. The terrace is located right next to the tiger and lion enclosure, in the shade of the majestic surrounding trees. The natural world of the play area, made of wooden structures, blends well with the wooded decor of this section of the zoo.

There’s plenty of room for children’s fun on the stilt paths, trampolines and balance games. A compass rose is placed in the middle of the terrace, directing visitors to the main attractions of the Chaudière-Appalaches region! There’s also an area designed for adults, with tables in the shade to keep an eye on the little ones. A great place to grab a snack or take a break with a view of the animal enclosure. We look forward to seeing you on our terrace this summer!
