In Quebec

This friendly, authentic mountain is possibly Quebec’s best-kept secret! The Massif du Sud ski resort is the highest ski area east of the Rockies, and is a veritable snow sanctuary with truly abundant powder. And when we talk about abundance, we’re talking about 750 cm per winter, and even 915 cm in record-breaking seasons. Incredible!

 A little paradise

This little paradise offers 35 trails for all levels. The undergrowth certainly steals the show here! Real glades! The runs in the Extreme sector are as technical as you could wish for, and their gradient sets them apart from anything you’ll find elsewhere in Quebec. Not just anyone can ski here!

Our favourite run? La Cachetière, which is reached after crossing the mythical « 5 », nicknamed the wall by regular skiers. You have to sweat a bit to get there… but the effort is rewarded with a descent on natural terrain where the trees are pretty close together. We love it!

 Skiing for everyone too!

For beginners and small families… the Massif du Sud resort also has runs for all levels and plenty of beautiful, more open glades that are simply perfect for beginners.

Whatever your style of descent, you’ll enjoy exceptional quality dry snow thanks to the mountain’s impressive altitude.

 Long live off-piste

Off-piste skiing is very popular here too, and a new 120-acre sector will be inaugurated this season, increasing the skiable area by 25%.

This area, known as the 5th Dimension, will be ungroomed and unpatrolled. Real off-piste fun! This area can be accessed by ski lift or via the 4 ascent trails specially designed for the haute route.

Set off for the highest ski area east of the Rockies, a veritable snow sanctuary with truly abundant powder. 35 runs for all levels plus a brand new off-piste sector: the 5th Dimension.

Important note: The 5th Dimension is an off-piste sector. The return to the lifts is a 3km trail that requires skins and alpine touring skis/boards.
