After two days in Lévis, I headed east to discover the little treasures of the Montmagny and Islands area. This 24-hour escapade will take me to Cap-Saint-Ignace for an inspiring coffee break and to Notre-Dame-du-Rosaire for a bit of outdoor adventure.

If you love nature and discovering things off the beaten track, this walk around Montmagny is sure to please you, believe me. Let me inspire you.

DAY 3 - A café worth visiting, for sure

Stop 9. I’m driving along Route 132 to go and have dinner at a place that was highly recommended to me: Babel Café. From the road, I can see the steeple of the Cap-Saint-Ignace church, I am almost there! Located in the old presbytery next to the church, this café is a unique meeting place in the region. As well as offering excellent coffee drinks made to order by experienced baristas, I highly recommend discovering their culinary offerings.

The menu of grilled cheese sandwiches, pastries and desserts will go very well with your caffeinated beverages.

I really liked the atmosphere of the place and would have loved to sit there for hours. It’s really the kind of place where I would have spent many hours doing homework and studying in the old days.

 Discover an unknown spot!

Stop 10: To round off my stay in style, I had the chance to visit the Sentiers de l’Inconnu at Notre-Dame-du-Rosaire. This outdoor center, located a few kilometers from Montmagny, offers a wide variety of trails for different sports and at different levels of difficulty.

I had the pleasure of exploring the trails on an electric fat bikethat I hired on site. The fat bike ‘s electric assistance doesn’t do all the work for you, but it does allow you to access much more remote areas and prolong the joy of riding the 23 kilometres of groomed trails.

There are also 18 km of cross-country ski trails and 14 km of snowshoe trails.

This text follows my 48-hour stay in Lévis: a relaxing gourmet getaway.
