When we arrived at the Sartiga Spa, the mist was just beginning to lift over Lake Sartigan. The cooler mornings of late August cannot hide the approach of fall, creating an atmosphere that blends magic with a sense of nostalgia for the summer that is drawing to a close.

A relaxing moment that does you good

Wrapped in our bathrobes, herbal tea in hand, we happily slipped into the hot baths to enjoy the benefits of thermotherapy. A moment of relaxation that was all the more welcome on the eve of the hustle and bustle of the back-to-school season.

The Sartiga Spa stands out first and foremost for its location right on the lake. A barrel sauna offers a breathtaking view of the water and the forest. As well as the classic Finnish sauna and hammam, innovative relaxation areas are also available. Heated concrete benches (we could have spent hours there), an immersive night-time experience featuring lighting and video projections inspired by the five elements, swings suspended in an enclosed hot bath, and an infinity spa facing the lake all combine to make for a truly unique experience.

A spa in harmony with the surrounding natural environment

Heated by biomass, the spa generates its own heat through combustion, without using any fossil fuels. A meaningful choice that allows you to be at one with the surrounding natural environment.

 Our favourite sushi

After relaxing at the spa, it’s our tradition to pop in and pick up some sushi to take away, so we can carry on lazing about all the way home. Our favourites in Lévis are from Sushi d’Éli (link in french), which combines freshness, creativity and generous portions. We’re always delighted to enjoy their delicious maki, gunkan, nigiri and sashimi. There’s also a counter that’s opened near the bridges in Saint-Nicolas for people continuing their journey to Québec.

This particularly rejuvenating day was the perfect way to round off our summer holidays. It’s a place we’ll be keen to rediscover amidst the warm colours of autumn or beneath the white blanket of snow in winter!
