A must Parc des Appalaches

Here, nature opens the door wide – and dogs are invited too! With 140 km of trails, lakes, mountains, footbridges and breathtaking vistas, the Appalachian Park is the perfect playground to unwind… at your own pace.

 Chart your own adventure!

With their exceptional panoramas, YES! the Sugar Loaf and Grande Coulée mountains are clearly worth the detour… But what makes the Parc des Appalaches truly unique is the immense freedom it offers. Here, you can create your own adventure, at your own pace, according to your own desires. That’s what makes it one of the most beautiful nature parks in Quebec. Nothing less.

Not to be missed

01

A 3-day self-guided trek

A tent on your back, a well-filled pack and some motivated friends. Three days of autonomy, summits, trails and memories that taste of freedom. Sarah tells us about her wonderful journey.

02

Sailing the Rivière Noire Nord-Ouest

A canoe, a dog (yes, they’re welcome!), and a peaceful river winding through the forest… Another way to discover the park: gentler, but just as lively. Join Gérard and Roxanne on their adventure, accompanied by their husky, Jack!

03

Sleep outside… your way!

Tent under the stars, forest refuge, cozy lakeside or riverside cottage… over 150 options to extend the pleasure, get away for real, and share memories as a gang, couple or solo. Here, there’s something for everyone!

04

Camping Your Way

Whether you want to pitch a tent and sleep under the stars or park your small RV in the heart of nature, the newly developed Mont Sugar Loaf campground at the foot of the mountain now offers 150 campsites where you can reconnect with nature.

05

Great family fun!

No-hassle ready-to-camp, bog biking with carnivorous plants (yes, they really do exist!), kayaking on the Rivière Noire, campfires, swimming in waterfalls… and even mushroom picking! The kind of nature trip you won’t soon forget. Ange, our local guide, tells you all about it right here!

06

Lounging on a natural beach… or at the foot of a waterfall

Looking for a moment to do nothing (and do it well)? Head for Rivière Daaquam, Langue de Chatte or the waterfalls of Ruisseau des Cèdres. Natural beaches, refreshing pools, toes in the water, forest soundscape…. No lifeguard, just peace and quiet!
