Du haut de ses 146 ans, la ville de Thetford Mines est encore toute jeune. Malgré le fait qu’elle ne fasse pas partie des plus vieilles villes du Québec, Thetford Mines est très riche en histoire. En effet, cette municipalité de la MRC des Appalaches fut pendant plusieurs années, une des régions minières les plus importantes au Québec. Pendant près d’un siècle, ce sont ses importants gisements d’amiante qui ont fait sa renommée, mais qu’en est-il aujourd’hui? Qu’est-ce qui fait qu’on veut visiter Thetford?
