In a few words

The J.A. Vachon House, located in Sainte-Marie de Beauce, less than 20 minutes from the Québec bridges on Route 73 South, is the ancestral home of Vachon snack cakes. Accompanied by a tour guide, you will learn how this resourceful family from a modest background worked hard so their company would prosper. A visit to the residence, classified as a historic monument, will take you back to the time when Rose-Anna would make her goodies on the wood stove. You will also discover her first recipe book - the very one she used to record the recipes for her snack cakes as she created them. You will also learn how Rose-Anna did her bookkeeping to keep track of how much it cost to keep their modest business running. The tour finishes with a video on the history and production of the snack cakes at the factory, and, of course, two snack cakes per visitor.

The region is already well known for its delicious maple syrup and strong entrepreneurial heritage - just think of well-known Beauce companies like Céramique de Beauce, or Vachon, for example. But do you know about the region's resolutely gastronomic side, its fun and varied activities, and its top-quality accommodations, which have nothing to envy those found in the big cities?
