The sales counter of the Fromagerie de l'Île-aux-Grues is open during the summer season.
For the summer of 2024, we are open from Wednesday to Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. until August 24 inclusive. We will close this season on the Labor Day weekend.
Visitors to Isle-aux-Grues can also purchase our cheeses at Magasin de l'Isle, Restaurant 232 "Le Normand" and Maisons du Grand Héron.

Nothing like the feeling of lightness when going on a getaway for the first day of summer vacation! Hit the road early in the morning, coffee and chocolate in hand, to join the Montmagny ferry which will take us to Isle-aux-Grues. The warm wind on our still somewhat sleepy faces was already a good start to the day.

At the start of the 20th century, the families of L'Isle-aux-Grues faced isolation and had to process the milk produced on their island themselves. The challenge of self-sufficiency has been transformed from one generation to the next into artisanal knowledge, which has given rise to a production of aged cheddars, unique to this island terroir.
