In a few words
The media arts installation is being deployed in the heart of Saint-Jean-Port-Joli, where several of Chantal Caron's works originated: at Parc des Trois-Bérets and on the maritime interpretation trail. Fragments of the short film Marée Noire are presented on impressive supports, juxtaposed with the lighting of photographs captured during the filming of the work. The open-air exhibition also allows a mini-dance series around the work to shine: Prendre le Nord.
Luminescence will take flight on November 16, 2024 and will be accessible to the public free of charge until December 8, to allow spectators to be touched by the light emanating from Chantal Caron's works

I have the privilege of living on the shores of the majestic St. Lawrence River in St-Jean-Port-Joli. The forces of nature that surround me are the foundation and inspiration of my artistic approach.
