Festival du poulet

St-Damase Entertainment Inc. (Amusements St-Damase Inc.) is a non-profit organisation present in the Saint-Damase of L'Islet community for over 40 years. They contribute in maintaining and organizing sports, leisure activities and the organisation of diverse daily activities, suppers and evenings all year round.

It all began when a few people decided to form a committee named, quite simply, "Leisure Committee" (Comité de Loisirs) which helped take care of diverse games and organized activities for the local population. In 1972, the Chicken Festival (Festival du Poulet) started in collaboration with local poultry producers and in 1975 the name "St-Damase Entertainment Inc." became an officially registered non-profit company.
