In a few words

The native land of famous authors Roch Carrier and Gatien Lapointe, Sainte-Justine is a true source of inspiration. The Trappist Monks historical site bears witness to the daily lives of these men who settled this part of the land - the monks belonging to the Cistercian Order. Erected in 1921, two chapels are reminiscent of the major events in local history. In the summer, the Sainte-Anne Chapel brings visitors back in time to admire walls adorned with the traditional artwork of skilled local artisans. The “Route des Créateurs” is an artistic itinerary open year round, which takes curious visitors to meet local artists in their studios, where woodworking has a place of honour. A stop in the village centre at the “Parc du bonhomme dans la lune” gives you a chance to rest and relax in a peaceful oasis that is home to hundreds of perennial plants. Sainte-Justine inspires. Enjoy its charms.
